One package is both the controller and the host. But only two platforms can act as a host today, macOS and Windows, and they differ a great deal — so be clear about which machine this is going on.
Apple Silicon only. There is no Intel build.
A zip, not an installer — unpack it and run it.
arm64 only. Controller only.
The package contains both the controller interface and the host program. After installing, you decide which role this machine plays — or run both.
Where this one ends
The two hosts differ sharply. macOS is the only fully-featured one. A Windows host encodes in software and has no audio, no clipboard and no file transfer. If the machine you need to reach runs Windows, read the table before downloading.
Every release ships a SHA256SUMS manifest listing bare filenames. Put the installer and the manifest for the same version in one directory, then run:
shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS-v4.1.36.txtA matching hash means the file matches the manifest. It does not on its own establish who built it — check the signature as well. The macOS and Windows signature steps are on the verification page, each one copyable.
